For a while now, a certain day in December has been circled on many a girlfriend’s calendar.
It’s not Christmas or the start of Hanukkah--or even New Year’s Eve. But perhaps it’s just as celebratory. On December 1, Target and Dallas-based Neiman Marcus will begin selling items from their much-vaunted, epically anticipated holiday collection.
We’d like to think we’re above parking-lot stakeouts, but this collection of 50 items from 24 of fashion’s preeminent designers has us contemplating unearthing our camping tent, which we believe was created for events like this. (If you don’t need the instant gratification, you can buy items online too.)
With contributions from such high-end designers as Alice + Olivia, Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and former Dallasite Lela Rose, the selections are unprecedented in scope and all ripe for the picking in this parade of possible presents.
But not for long. That’s why we’re bookmarking Target’s and Neiman’s websites and plugging in our coffeemaker for our first potential all-nighter (items will be available at midnight) in quite some time.
