Take a walk around the refined 81-year-old enclave of Highland Park Village these days and you’ll see a smartly evolving collection of high-end shops (Diane von Furstenberg and Jimmy Choo) mixed with more accessible brands (Anthropologie and Williams-Sonoma).

Welcome into the fold Number One/LE JUS, one part organic café and juice bar mixed with a shot of lively lifestyle merchandise.

From the minds of Brian Bolke (owner of the übertrendy store Forty Five Ten) and Dana Card (cofounder of A Pea in the Pod) comes this elevated notion of what a boutique can be.

Whether you’re craving a freshly pressed juice, light Egg Salad Salad lunch or design inspiration, the gurus here have it covered.

We ambled in on the store’s first weekend in business. Sipping on our La Vie Mélange (an earthy marriage of greens and pineapple juice, $6), we took in the reserved ambience, not to mention the stellar selection of clothes and accessories.

The two-story showroom sells lines from Victoria Beckham to Greg Lauren, as well as luscious items like candles and body creams from Aesop in its apothecary section.

All of which makes this our number one place for clever concepts and darling designers.
