For a base fare of $7 plus $3.25 per mile, you can take a break from getting behind the wheel and have a driver take you wherever the action is, whether it?s a shopping splurge in Uptown or downtown to see the latest show at the Dallas Museum of Art. Business trips might call for an Uber jaunt to the airport (from Dallas, it?s a flat rate of $75) or how about cruising to a Cowboys game in Uber style ($100)?
We gave the service a whirl on a recent Friday afternoon, looking to make the brief but traffic-ridden trip from Preston Center to Greenville Avenue. The app found our location via GPS, took our payment info and sent us a driver within 10 minutes.
Getting around town has never been less stressful.
