Personal shopping gets a makeover
High Maintenance is anything but.
The Fort Worth–based mobile business debuted this summer, offering women across the area a different personal-shopping option: a store that comes to your door.
Owners Rosie Vann-Dalton and Sande Brandt previously worked as stylists for a national company in Southlake Town Square. But they realized that big stores often value volume over a personal experience, and they weren’t able to provide their customers with a variety of styles.
And so the duo brainstormed their boutique on wheels, High Maintenance. The company carries lines that are fresh and relatable, but not too deep in any item. And their vintage Airstream trailer is not only stocked with eclectic clothing but also features those all-important mirrors and dressing rooms.
From Ecru trousers ($138) to Stop Staring dresses that are popular with Hollywood stars ($178), the clothing has a Texas-bohemian vibe. We like Roberta Oaks’ patterned dresses ($149), which are breezy, Hawaiian-inspired affairs, ideal for our steamy climate.
The trailer can be reserved for parties or individuals. A $250 deposit is required, but the fee is waived if you spend that amount in what the girls affectionately call “The Can.”
Looking good has never felt this low-maintenance.
