The best manicures in different hoods
Luckily, in Dallas, a fabulous nail artist is always right around the corner, no matter where you live or work. Here’s where to go based on where you’re situated.
Park Cities Bellacures recently opened in Preston Center, and color us impressed: You won’t find jetted tubs, uncomfortable massage chairs or a shocking bill at the end. Instead, Bellacures uses disposable foot tubs and comfy club chairs. The price? Twenty bucks. (6108 Luther Lane)
Uptown Located in a small house on Worthington, Garden Nail Spa does a manicure ($35) in one of the most relaxing settings--ocean waves soothe in the background, the lighting is dim and flattering, and the spa is spotless. Special note: If you go Monday through Wednesday, you’ll get 20 percent off. (2611 Worthington St.)
Addison Can’t go for a manicure on your lunch hour? Hawaiian Nail Bar stays open until midnight. We love that they use real aloe leaves to relax your muscles and serve complimentary frozen daiquiris while your manicurist works her magic on your fingers. A nail job will run you $15. (4900 Beltline Rd.)
Plano Everything is first-class at Polished: contemporary manicure stations, bubbly employees and the largest variety of O.P.I. and Essie bottles we’ve ever seen. Even the basic Sparkling manicure ($25) is extra-fancy, with a choice of five different scents for the finger soak and lotion. (2208 Dallas Pkwy.)
