All-female workout classes at CrossFit Love Field

We’ve spent the past few years trying many fitness crazes (remember water yoga and meditative flotation?). But through it all, we’ve remained intimidated by one workout: CrossFit.

Luckily, there’s now a CrossFit concept we can get down with: the female-empowered CrossFit Love Field.

CrossFit Love Field hosts ladies-only classes two days a week at the new gym off Mockingbird Lane and Denton Drive.

Owner Cortney Rodriguez created the women’s program to work specifically with gals who want to better themselves and be surrounded by positive reinforcement. The drills vary from class to class but focus on uniquely female needs like buns, hips, thighs and arms. As far as the workouts go, you can expect strength and circuit training, plyometrics, kettlebell reps, step-ups, lunges and abdominal work.

Who wants to play with boys anyway?
