Everyone loves a picnic in the park--or at least the idea of one. But when it comes to actually finding the blanket, packing the wicker basket and making the sandwiches, we often throw our hands up, eat string cheese and watch Netflix on the sofa.

Luckily, Beverly Hills transplant The Grill on the Alley has launched ready-to-go picnic packs that can help renew your resolve to dine on the grass. Each pack serves two to four people and is filled with upscale alfresco options--think shrimp and crab Louie with ahi sashimi, and shrimp cocktail with a buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad.

Also included are all the picnic essentials: tablecloth, plates, glasses, napkins and cutlery.

Since we were recently double-dating at the arboretum, we decided to share two different picnic bags. The Mixed Grill selection ($47) came with sliced filet mignon, an herb-encrusted chicken breast, grilled shrimp and asparagus, a fresh caprese salad and a large piece of carrot cake. The other bag ($36) came with cold poached salmon, Caesar salad and fresh berries with cream for dessert.

There was plenty of food for our four-person crowd, and the biggest hit was definitely the salmon, which came with a terrific dill sauce.
