Dorus Mhor’s timeless fabric jewelry
While we?re totally ready for a thorough wardrobe makeover (hello, spring bomber jacket), sometimes it just takes the right accessories to make an old outfit feel brand new.
For a sleek style upgrade, we turned to Dorus Mhor, a fabric-and-metal jewelry line from Chicago (by way of Scotland) designer Elizabeth Bloom.
Her new Fluorite collection starts with the basics: gold or silver hardware. But instead of sparkly stones, Bloom pairs the metal with links wrapped in jewel-toned silk (which is actually printed with HD scans of the colorful mineral).
For a Saturday jaunt around town, we'll be pairing these emerald-hued drop earrings ($40) or this pendant ($70) with a white tee and jeans. But we're squirreling away this sapphire-toned Orbital necklace ($140) for our next lunch at Sophie's.
Oh, and did we mention that every item is hand-washable? Just use a delicate detergent and let air-dry. You--and your jewelry--will look like new.
