String ’Em Up
INDO’s pretty paper garland
We love Thanksgiving, we do. But we can?t wait for Friday.
Not because we?re getting an insane deal on an insanely large TV (no thanks), but because it?s the day we?ll transform our house into the wonderland it shall remain as until the New Year. ??
This season we?re making things festive with charming DIY paper garlands and ornaments dreamed up by creative goddesses Crystal Hodges and Linsey Burritt of INDO. The pair is responsible for Chicago?s coolest window displays, constructed from found and recycled materials--check out some of their installations here.
INDO?s festive, light-as-air decorations are being sold at the Unison Home holiday pop-up shop in Wicker Park, and they couldn?t be easier to assemble. ??
We love the cool blue spheres that can be used as individual ornaments or as a four-foot strand of garland ($16)--hang them from your tree for an unexpected pop of color or string them up together in an archway or window.
There?s also a white snowflake garland ($6) that?s both chic and nostalgic and red-and-white ornaments ($12 for a set of eight) that will look like lovely origami perched between branches.
Your inner Martha is about to go mod. ??
