Chic stationery from a Chicago stylist
Other than a scribbled ?Toilet paper!? on a Post-It, it?s been a while since we?ve put our penmanship skills to use. But a new stationery collection from two Chicago women with great taste has us shutting down our laptops in favor of back-to-basics communication.
Friends Jenna DeBord, the fashion stylist behind The Garmenteur, and Kimberly FitzSimons, who owns a local boutique stationery company, used their weekly coffee meetings to dream up a line of note cards that are snappy and stylish.
The just-launched black-and-white collection includes cards for saying thank-you--you can even choose whether you?re thanking someone for a gift or a gesture--as well as all-purpose cards. We?re besotted with one that shouts ?Love It? at the top; we?re also ordering up business-card-sized notes printed with mini bows that are perfect for enclosing with gifts.
A variety box set of 12 cards with envelopes in arrow, bow, stripe or polka-dot patterns costs $36, and individual note cards go for $3.75. You can opt for a personalized version of the ?Love It? theme--add whatever verbiage you want to spice up the heading.
We?re stealing the best line from one of our favorite movies ever: ?LOVE IT. Love the bag, love the shoes, love everything.?
