When you see a jewelry collection that?s feminine, glamorous and unabashedly rich-looking, it should come as no surprise that the designer is a polished North Shore resident who hails from Brazil.
Graziela Kaufman is the wife of Mesirow managing director John Kaufman and the mother of four boys, and she moved to the U.S. nearly 15 years ago--but she?s been making custom fine jewelry for a select group of clients for two decades.
Earlier this year, Kaufman took her talents public with the launch of her high-end Graziela Couture line, which includes such stunners as the turquoise-and-sapphire ?Fabulous? ring for $19,800 and the edgy ?Emerald Wings? earrings for $10,200. (Zooey Deschanel and Kate Beckinsale are fans.)
Kaufman?s most recent pieces from her just-launched, lower-priced Graziela Collection are the baubles we?re more likely to pick up for everyday use. The deeply purple rhodolite-and-smoky-quartz ?Rachel?s Luck? ring ($280), the ?Drops of White? agate earrings ($120) and the multi-hued ?Mix by the Yard? beaded necklaces ($160 to $480) are among the pieces we covet.
Now that we know where to get Graziela?s sparklers, we only wish we could pick up some of her enviable model-esque genes.
Graziela jewelry is available at Enaz, 444 Central Ave., Highland Park; 847-433-6466 or enaz.com
