Bags of Tricks
Make a bag you love at the new 1154 Lill Studio
Back when 1154 Lill Studio founder Jennifer Velarde launched her design-your-own-bag business in 1999, the iPhone, iPad and all things touch screen were just a blip in Steve Jobs?s brain. Ladies who flocked to the Armitage boutique--and then the second location in Boston--were simply excited about the customization experience; that concept alone was considered high-tech.
Times have changed, and 1154 Lill Studio has changed along with them. At its super-sleek new location in the 900 North Michigan Shops, you?ll find a 65-inch HD touch screen that helps you design your bag or accessory in four quick steps.
Or if you?re one of those people who went to the original 1154 Lill Studio for the experience--i.e., touching fabrics, trying on bags, sipping wine with your posse while designing--no worries: The store still hosts parties for groups and also displays all 40 styles and 140 fabrics, including new offerings in leather, canvas and metal.
Whether you?re old-school or high-tech, the bags are still modern, affordable and functional--exactly what made us like them from the start.
