Angela Finney-Hoffman has become something of a style legend in Chicago, thanks to her knack for searching out the chicest vintage and new housewares, furniture and art for her West Town store, Post 27.

Finney-Hoffman just moved Post 27 across the street in the same row of Grand Avenue design shops, and because the space is smaller than the original (more square footage has been devoted to a studio for her growing interior design practice), the offerings are better edited and easier to browse than ever.

We were mesmerized by artist David Sprecher?s wall installation of 1,400 razor blades whose edges cast fetching shadows when the sun shines through the front windows. Other things that caught our eye were cool copper candlesticks by Cincinnati-based Brush Factory and a gorgeous Aztec-inspired wool throw that we?d tell you to look for except that, well, we bought it.

That?s the thing about Post 27: In its new location, as in the old spot, we never leave empty-handed.
