It's rare when an enclosed pool is so fabulous that it makes swimming in the great indoors feel just as lovely as being outside. But if any pool fits the bill, it's the 75-foot stunner with windows overlooking the Chicago River and skyline at The Spa at Trump.
As we approach the home stretch toward summer, new swim classes at the Trump pool are a good way to brush up on our mermaid moves. Overseen by Ellen Bator, the former assistant swim coach and aquatics director at the University of Chicago, the pool is now the site of an intense calorie-burning and strength-building Aqua Fit class that includes upper- and lower-body weight training, a Swim Technique & Condition class that's designed to help you work on all four strokes and an Aqua Babies class for little swimmers.
The hour-long classes are $30 for non-members and free for members of the health club, and adult learn-to-swim, triathlon training and children's lessons can be booked for $120 an hour (non-members) or $90 an hour (members). (Membership to the Trump health club is $190 a month.)
There's more to bathing-suit season than trying to look good in a two-piece, and we're ready to dive in.
