Pretty pops of color: They're exactly what we need to make it through these late, gray winter days, and local jewelry designer Lana Bramlette's new sapphire-strung Chroma collection is a bright spot on the bleak horizon.
We've always been fans of her simple but stylish 14kt-gold hoops and necklaces celebrities swoon over (Chelsea Handler and Cameron Diaz are among the legions of famous "Lana Girls"), but the Chroma collection signals a shift in direction for the designer, conjuring images of tropical vacations and calling to mind the colorful yarn friendship bracelets we used to love as kids.
The stunner of the collection, the Chroma Intense necklace ($1,540) is a glittering tri-strand of rainbow-hued sapphires that we'd use to brighten up anything and everything black in our closets. For a subtler take on the look, collect Lana's stackable Chroma singles bracelets strung with gold "Luck 'n' Love" pendants for $500 each.
Like Lana herself, these are fine gems with a fun-loving twist.
