It's the opposite of brain drain.

As adults, it’s not often we have the wondrous feeling that anything’s possible. But that’s exactly the point of Chicago Ideas Week, the annual lineup of seminars, tours, talks and hands-on workshops designed to spark innovation in tech, business and culture.

The sessions fill up fast, but here are three last-minute ones you can still get into:

Piranha Tank Love Shark Tank? Watch four local entrepreneurs vie for a cash prize by making their cases for the world’s next great business ideas. Dtox Designs: Rock ’n’ Roll T-shirt Design Spray-paint artist Dan O’Conor will show you how to make a T-shirt honoring your musical passions--a wearable piece of rock ’n’ roll artwork--while leading a group discussion about the importance of music in our lives. TimeLine Theatre: Creating the Experience Beyond the Stage Reformed thespians, slip back into the thrall of the stage at this behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of local theater company TimeLine. You’ll learn the nitty-gritty of budgets, costumes, sets, ticket sales and more--and you’ll even help brainstorm ideas for new productions. October 19 at 10:00 a.m., $15; TimeLine Theatre, 615 W.
