Learn from the pros at Second City summer school
Friends have been singing your comedic praises ever since third grade, when you tricked Mrs. Smith into using the boys? bathroom. (Zing!) But do you have the skills and guts to play with the professionals?
Find out this summer during an Adult Immersion session at The Second City Training Center. During your weeklong session, you can choose to focus on Improv or Comedy Writing ($285 for half-day sessions) or take a full-day combo class ($525).
In Improv, you?ll focus on SNL-style ensemble work and beginning scene work. Comedy Writing teaches sketch techniques like characterization, comic premise and story structure. (Hint: An old man rocking spandex is always funny.)
You?ll be taught by the best in the biz, including the folks who made you pee your pants last month at the latest revue, ?Depraved New World.?
And if you find you?re a natural (of course you are!), you can stay for two-, three- or four-week sessions--and even take some specialty classes like Music Improv or Solo Performance.
Tina Fey would be so proud.
Sessions start June 1. Get more information at secondcity.com or register here.
