A local artist captures iconic Chicago locations
Walking down Clark Street last weekend, we stumbled across the small and charming Josh Moulton Gallery.
And when we stepped inside and saw his collection of iconic Chicago paintings, we instantly had a new go-to spot for hostess gifts, housewarming presents and, let?s be honest, items to add to our own wish list (hint, hint).
The deal: Lakeview resident Moulton, who attended Lake Forest College, is a photo-realism and urban landscape painter who creates colorful, vibrant pictures of notable Chicago spots, including the LaSalle Street Bridge, the Green City Market, the Chicago Theater and many others. (Unframed small prints are $20; larger prints, $75 to $100; large framed prints, $200.)
He can also take a photo of any place that?s important to you (a childhood home or maybe a wedding location) and turn it into a one-of-a-kind painting (commissioned works start at $1,000).
Artwork made just for you? Priceless.
