‘You’ and ‘Squid Game’ Have Finally Been Kicked Out of Netflix’s #1 and #2 Spots

Three weeks ago, You dethroned Squid Game as Netflix’s most popular series, a position held by the Korean drama for over a month. (Eventually, the show beat Bridgerton's record as the most-watched new series on the streaming platform.) Since then, the titles have held on tight to the top two spots on the streaming platform. That is—until today.

As of Monday, Big Mouth has landed the number one spot on Netflix's top ten most-watched shows list followed by Narcos: Mexico. We’re not surprised, considering both series dropped new seasons over the weekend. You and Squid Game now hold the third and fourth positions respectively.

If you’re unfamiliar, Big Mouth is a ten-episode adult animated comedy from Nick Kroll (Kroll Show) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy) and follows “the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty.” Stars lending their voices to the characters include John Mulaney (SNL), Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids), Jason Mantzoukas (The League), Jordan Peele (Key and Peele), Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Jenny Slate (Girls) and Jessi Klein (Inside Amy Schumer). Watch the trailer below.

Narcos: Mexico, the third installment of the popular Narcos franchise, was released on the platform on November 5. Per Netflix, “Set in the 90s, when the globalization of the drug business ignites, season three examines the war that breaks out after Felix’s arrest. As newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican kingpins emerge. But in this war, truth is the first casualty—and every arrest, murder and take-down only pushes real victory further away…”

We have some serious binge watching to do.
