How to Spend the Ultimate Saturday in San Francisco (from A.M. to P.M.)
Your itinerary awaits you...
Sometimes you just want to lay low over the weekend. We get it. But with our “true” summer right around the corner, now’s the time to get out and enjoy the good weather. So, we give you the ultimate Saturday plan—San Francisco-style.
10 A.M.: ENJOY PASTRIES AND THE PAPER
After sleeping in and enjoying a lazy morning at home, it’s time to get moving. Head over to Tartine Manufactory for a morning bun, breakfast sandwich and coffee. Then linger over the paper—you have time to read the whole darn thing if you want to—once you score a table.
1 P.M.: TOOL AROUND THE CITY ON TWO WHEELS
Sometimes it’s fun to play tourist in your own city. Heck, you might even learn a few things while you're at it. For that, try this brews and bike tour, which will take you inside the craft beer scene at some of the best spots in SF (Cellarmaker, City Beer Store). After all that pedaling around town, you deserve a pint or two.
6 P.M.: ROOT, ROOT, ROOT FOR THE HOME TEAM
As a San Franciscan, it’s your duty to cheer for the Giants at least once during baseball season. So throw on your orange and black and make like a true gamer babe for the night. (The Giants play the Cardinals on September 17 at 6:05 p.m.)
9 P.M.: WALK THE WATERFRONT
Sure, you’re exhausted after such a long day, but skip the crowds at the ballpark MUNI stop and walk along the waterfront to the Embarcadero stop instead. Your reward: primo views of the Bay Lights in all their sparkling glory.
