Dylan McDermott Is Truly Terrifying in Netflix’s New #5 Flick

This throwback Dylan McDermott flick might be a few years old, but it hasn’t lost its spark (at least not yet).

We’re talking about The Clovehitch Killer, which is gaining popularity on Netflix. It’s not a new film, since it originally premiered in 2018. However, it recently claimed the number five spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (FYI: It’s currently ranked behind The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Dead Man Down, Monster and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.)

So, what’s it about? The Clovehitch Killer takes place in Kentucky and follows Tyler Burnside (Charlie Plummer), a curious boy who uncovers a horrifying mystery about his father, Don (McDermott).

It all starts when Tyler discovers a slew of disturbing images hidden among his dad’s possessions. His findings lead him to question whether the man he trusts most is actually a full-blown killer, who murdered 13 girls a decade ago…and got away with it.

In addition to McDermott and Plummer, the movie also stars Samantha Mathis (Cindy), Madisen Beaty (Kassi), Brenna Sherman (Susie), Lance Chantiles-Wertz (Billy) and Emma Jones (Amy). The Clovehitch Killer was directed by Duncan Skiles (The Last of the Great Romantics), while Christopher Ford (Spider-Man: Homecoming) wrote the screenplay.

Will Tyler find answers before it’s too late? Or will he discover that everything is not what it seems? Guess you’ll have to tune in to find out.
