‘The Afterparty’ Season 2: Here’s What We Know So Far

Thanks to a successful first season, The Afterparty season 2 is set to premiere on Apple TV+ later this year—and we couldn’t be more excited.

The mystery-comedy revolves around Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) as she investigates a murder at a high school reunion afterparty. Each person tells their side of the story through the lens of a different film genre. And by the end of the night, a shocking revelation comes to light.

Although the killer is revealed in the first installment, the new season will introduce another mystery that leaves fans on the edge of their seats. But which cast members will return? And when will the new episodes air? Keep reading for details.

1. What is The Afterparty season 2 about?

While season one took place at a high school reunion party, season two’s big mystery will unravel at a wedding ceremony, where the groom is found dead. Naturally, everyone in attendance—from business partners to family members—is a suspect, so Detective Danner has her work cut out for her.

Like season one, each episode will focus on a different suspect as they share their version of events through unique perspectives (and new film genres). Executive producer Chris Miller told Variety, “There will be…a whole new murder. Different shenanigans. Different film styles. We do have a dog in it—that’s a spoiler, but there is a dog.” Interesting…
