There, We Said It: The Oxford English Dictionarys Word of the Year Is Stupid

Guys: The old fuddy-duddies at the Oxford English Dictionary officially selected the 2015 Word of the Year. And turns out, it isn't a word at all: It's an emoji. Specifically, the "Face with Tears of Joy" emoji, which, as you well know, means that something was so funny, you shed actual tears.

We're all about emojis--now that we understand what they mean and how to use them. But was there no other actual word they could've chosen?

Absquatulate? Flibbertigibbet? Pettifogger? Nothing else?

Oh, well. We'll get off our high [HORSE EMOJI] and accept the changing [WATCH EMOJI].
