The Netflix series Never Have I Ever has shot to the top of the streaming service’s list of most-watched shows, and we can totally see why.
Season two just premiered on Netflix a few days ago. Since its release, Never Have I Ever has already claimed the number two spot on the list of top-rated shows. (It’s currently ranked behind Virgin River and ahead of Manifest, Heist, Sex/Life and Atypical.)
So, what is Never Have I Ever about? Season one introduces viewers to Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian-American teenager who’s determined to climb up the social ladder at school. Season two picks up right where we left off in the previous installment (right after a massive cliffhanger).
The new episodes focus on Devi as she struggles to choose between Ben (Jaren Lewison) and Paxton (Darren Barnet). We won’t give too much away, but let’s just say the love triangle leads to hilarious results.
The official synopsis reads, “After a traumatic year, an Indian-American teen just wants to spruce up her social status—but friends, family and feelings won’t make it easy on her.”
Never Have I Ever was created by Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project) and Lang Fisher (Brooklyn Nine-Nine). In addition to Ramakrishnan and Lewison, the show stars Poorna Jagannathan (Nalini), Richa Moorjani (Kamala), Lee Rodriguez (Fabiola) and Ramona Young (Eleanor).
