We’re complex people. Sometimes we’re in the mood to rewatch the third season of 30 Rock for the seventh time, while other times we’re looking to dive into a series of eye-opening and deeply moving human-rights documentaries.
That’s why we’re so pumped about this Netflix trick that lets you create different viewer profiles based on different moods.
Here’s what you do: Go to Netflix, choose the "Add Profile" option and create a user profile. (Let’s call her "Tina Fey.") Then create a second one. (We’ll call her "Michael Moore.") And so on and so on. Whenever you want to watch something that falls into one of your categories, make sure you’re logged on as the appropriate user. (So Tina might binge Community while Michael would stream Gasland.) Netflix will then build separate series of recommendations for your various streaming behaviors, making it easier for you to find something cool to watch every single time.
Now that we’re thinking about it, doesn’t it feel like such a drool-over-Idris-Elba-in-The-Wire kind of day? C’mon, you know you want to.
