Remember the first time you saw Kurt Cobain playing an acoustic guitar in a cardigan? Or the moment you realized your kindred spirit was a cartoon in combat boots? Or any time people stopped being polite and started getting real?

Yeah, '90s MTV was king.

And the cable gods have smiled on us. According to Mashable, on Monday VH1 Classic officially becomes MTV Classic and will air all the best programming from our youths. During the week, expect episodic shows like Daria, Beavis and Butt-head, Cribs, Pimp My Ride and Jackass. On Fridays, you'll find music blocks of Unplugged and Storytellers. But on the weekends, clear your schedule for marathons of early seasons of The Real World and Laguna Beach.

Oh yeah, there will also be throwback music videos--in the middle of the night just like old times.
