Sooo, You Can Now Be a Marijuana Sommelier
Like, as a job
There’s a new type of sommelier in town, and it's not the kind that pairs wine with your dinner. These experts specialize in cannabis.
Yep, the same way a traditional sommelier will match Muscadet with oysters or Cabernet with steak, there’s actually a science to pairing pot with food. Depending on the strain’s aroma and density, different types of marijuana can bring out new flavors in a dish.
Where can you get this glorious training? The Trichome Institute (or THC University, for short) currently offers a cannabis certification course in Colorado that teaches students how to inspect and evaluate marijuana. And even if you’re not local, you can still take classes online, starting at $199.
The future is here, people. And it looks…hazy.
