Although it’s been almost three years (!) since it originally premiered, Netflix just dropped an all-new trailer for season two, which confirms there’s far more story to tell. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming season two of Luis Miguel: The Series.

1. How Can I Watch Season Two Of 'luis Miguel: The Series'?

Luis Miguel: The Series season two will hit Netflix on April 18, with one new episode premiering every Sunday. This is pretty unusual for the streaming service, which typically drops everything at once. However, the format is becoming more popular for shows like The Great British Baking Show, which is now on a weekly schedule.

2. What Is 'luis Miguel: The Series' About?

Luis Miguel: The Series is inspired by the real-life story of Mexican singer Luis Miguel (played by Diego Boneta), who’s commonly known as El Sol de México (AKA The Sun of Mexico). While season one focused on Miguel’s rise to fame, the second installment will further explore his turbulent life as he gains popularity. The story will be told in two different timelines, highlighting both his professional career and his private dealings.

Season one of Luis Miguel: The Series originally premiered back in 2018 and consisted of 13 episodes. Although production for the new installments was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series will pick up right where it left off.

3. Is There A Trailer?

Absolutely. Netflix just dropped the first official trailer for Luis Miguel: The Series season two, which follows the musician as he travels to NYC to meet Frank Sinatra (Julian Sedgwick). “I understand you’re quite the crooner,” Sinatra says in the clip. To which Miguel responds, “I try.”

In addition to Boneta and Sedgewick, Luis Miguel: The Series also stars Martín Bello (Tito), César Bordón (Hugo), Óscar Jaenada (Luis), Anna Favella (Marcela), Gabriel Nuncio (Doc), Vanessa Bauche (Rosy), Juanpa Zurita (Alejandro, or “Alex” ), Kevin Holt (Miguel) and Cesar Santana (Alex).
