Kate Middleton & Prince William’s Latest Outing Was at...an Arcade?

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s latest royal engagement consisted of throwing balls at targets.

During a trip to Wales on Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Barry Island and spoke with local business owners about the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the tourism industry. But the trip wasn’t all about business. The royal couple also spent time playing arcade games and showing off their competitive sides.

Both the 38-year-old and her husband tried their hand at the claw machine (to win prizes for Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis perhaps?). However, according to footage captured at the event, the duchess wasn’t able to secure a new toy for her children. You’ll get ’em next time, Kate.

Earlier in the day, the duo stopped by Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff to visit with their favorite bingo players. ICYMI: Kate and Will had previously called numbers for the residents during one of their virtual bingo games.

According to Kensington Palace, the couple met a small number of residents and their family members who spoke about the challenges of being unable to visit their loved ones at the beginning of the lockdown.

For the occasion, the mother of three opted for her belted long-sleeved seersucker dress decorated with a pink floral print by Emilia Wickstead paired with her micro-floral print cotton mask from the London childrenswear brand, Amaia (which she first debuted yesterday).

A day full of arcade games and catching up with friends? We’re happy to see these two back in action together.
