So, what’s all the hype about? Good Girls follows three suburban moms—Beth (Christina Hendricks), Annie (Mae Whitman) and Ruby (Retta)—who are sick and tired of abiding by society’s rules.
In an attempt to take control of their lives, the trio devises an evil heist plan to rob a grocery store. The edge-of-your-seat storyline leads them to an unexpected career in drug smuggling via their newfound relationship with a gang member. (It sounds dark, but it’s actually pretty comical.)
We’re not totally surprised by the spike in viewers, since Good Girls has been around for quite some time. While seasons one and two were released in 2018 and 2019 (respectively), season three was slightly delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. That being said, the show caters to a diverse audience, whether you’re starting from the beginning or picking up where you left off.
