1. When Will 'emily In Paris' Season 2 Premiere?

Netflix just dropped a brand-new teaser, which confirms that Emily in Paris season two will premiere on December 22. News of a second season shouldn’t come as a surprise—not only did the streaming service recently release a slew of never-before-seen photos, but series creator Darren Star also revealed that there’s more story to tell.

“In season two, she's going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she's living in. She'll be more of a resident of the city,” he previously told Oprah Magazine. “She'll have her feet on the ground a little more. She's making a life there.”

Of course, he’ll further the storylines of the supporting characters as well. “We have a great world of characters that we’ve established,” Star told Vanity Fair. “I’d like to explore so much more of the supporting cast, like Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Emily’s boss. I think we’ve just scratched the surface of who she is and what makes her tick.… I certainly have a lot of thoughts about where I’d like to see things going, and I know that there’s a lot of story to tell.… I don’t believe, as an American, you’re ever at home in Paris. In terms of a second season, there are certainly a lot of roads to follow.”

2. What Is 'emily In Paris' About?

The series follows Midwestern native Emily, played by Lily Collins, as she moves to Paris to work at a French marketing company. According to a press release, Emily’s new Parisian life is “filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges.” Along the way, she’ll be “winning over her work colleagues, making friends and navigating new romances.”

Aside from Collins, American series regulars include Ashley Park (Tales of the City), William Abadie (The Pink Panther), Eion Bailey (Dawson’s Creek) and Arnaud Viard (Clara et Moi), as well as Kate Walsh (Grey's Anatomy) who plays Emily’s mentor. French actors Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat and Bruno Gouery also star.

4. Is The Cast Returning For Season Two?

Based on the first-look photos, it seems that way. In a candid interview, Lucas Bravo (who plays Gabriel, a chef who is Emily's neighbor-turned-complicated-love-interest) told Cosmo that the show has “planted a few seeds about different characters.” “Like Camille, when she kisses Emily on the mouth, and she's like, 'I'm not sorry.' And then when they're in bed, and I'm liking the picture, it's all little seeds," he explained. "Anything could happen between the three of them. I think Darren wants this second season to be really open-minded."

He also spilled details about the future of his character, specifically who he wants Gabriel to end up with. “The way we left things, Gabriel is definitely more excited, or more intoxicated by the promise of going further down the road with Emily, that's for sure. Because since she got here, so many amazing things unlocked for him, you know. But Camille is really strong-willed, she's an amazing woman, and she could very well come back.”

5. Is There A Trailer?

Yes, there’s the teaser trailer above. In addition, Netflix gave us a further sneak peek at what’s to come by sharing pics from the show’s upcoming second season. There are a few key takeaways from the images: First, it seems Emily is as stylish as ever. Second, Mindy is still her right-hand gal. Oh, and Gabriel is getting more handsome by the day.

Thank you, Netflix. We really needed this.
