This Twisty Thriller Just Became the No. 1 Show on Netflix

If you find yourself constantly searching for the next Gone Girl or a show like Behind Her Eyes that will leave you guessing until the last minute, then you've come to the right place.

The newest series to hit number one on Netflix is Clickbait, and this looks a psychological thriller that can't be missed. The twisty drama series stars Adrian Grenier (Entourage) as Nick Brewer, a father who gets kidnapped by a mysterious abductor who begins posting videos of his captive online.

All eight episodes of the miniseries were dropped just a few days ago, and the drama has already jumped into the top spot on the streaming site's list of most-watched shows. Check out the trailer below.

At the start of the clip, we see Nick's wife, Sophie (played by Get Out's Betty Gabriel), reading a letter to Nick's captor. “This is a message for Nick's kidnapper,” she says. “He is a husband, a father, a brother. He's kind, loving and gentle. You've made a terrible mistake. Let him come home.”

But as the trailer quickly reveals, everything is not that simple.

At first, the kidnapper posts a video of Nick holding a sign that says: “At 5 million views I die.” Then, things only get more complicated when Nick starts holding up signs that say things like “I killed a woman.” Soon, everyone begins to question the whole story behind Nick's kidnapping, and his wife, along with his sister, played by Zoe Kazan (The Big Sick), attempt to dig into his past.

The show was created by Australian producer Tony Ayres, who has created other series like Stateless and Nowhere Boys. Besides the three main leads, it also stars Phoenix Raei, Abraham Lim, Motell G Foster and Jessie Collins.

We know what we'll be watching tonight.
