Charlize Theron Just Shared a New Look From Her Upcoming Movie (and We Barely Recognized Her)

If ever there was someone who made us want to rock a pixie—nay, a bowl cut—it's Charlize Theron. The actress is no stranger to switching up her look for various roles and her most recent Instagram snap shows her with fiery red, fluffed out curls that make her almost unrecognizable.

She captioned the photo, "...and that’s a wrap for Lady Lesso," referencing her character in her upcoming movie, The School for Good and Evil. The film is set to make its debut on Netflix in 2022, and co-stars none other than Kerry Washington.

Based on the best-selling series of books by Soman Chainani, the story centers around two students, Sophie and Agatha, who claim to know their rightful paths in a world where students train to become fairytale heroes or villains.

According to Netflix, Charlize Theron will be playing Lady Lesso, the Dean of the School for Evil, while Kerry Washington will be playing Professor Clarissa Dovey, the Dean of Good.

As Lady Lesso, Theron's signature blonde crop is covered by what we're assuming is a very good wig courtesy of her longtime collaborator, Adir Abergel. Abergel also shared behind-the-scenes photos on his Instagram, captioning the snaps, "The secret is out why I’ve been locked in Ireland. There aren’t many people I would have quarantined for....but for Lady Lesso, I would do anything. It has been so much fun creating this look with @charlizeafrica and the legend @paulfeig."

The shoulder-length curls and vibrant crimson shade are stunning on Theron and we can't wait to see the full look in action when the movie drops next year.
