While recently scrolling through Peacock (like I always do) in hopes of finding a new show, I stumbled upon the NBC comedy series, Grand Crew. Little did I know at the time I would end up binge-watching the entire first season in just two days.

Created by television writer Phil Augusta Jackson, Grand Crew follows a group of L.A. friends trying to navigate the ups and downs of adulthood—while sharing a love for the finest wine, of course.

Fans of the beloved ’90s sitcom, Living Single, will definitely enjoy this show because it has a similar vibe. In the pilot episode, we have a chance to meet the group of five friends: Noah (Echo Kellum), Sherm (Carl Tart), Anthony (Aaron Jennings), Nicky (Nicole Byer) and Wyatt (Justin Cunningham). Although Fay (Grasie Mercedes) joins the group later on in the show, she fits in perfectly as the new member of the crew.

Even though each individual couldn’t be more different from the others, what’s undeniable is the love they have for each other. Whether the crew is trying to comfort Noah through one of his recent breakups or trying to help Sherm launch his own wine business, the group of friends have such a deep bond and it shows in every episode.

Another thing I really love about Grand Crew is that the show is genuinely funny. The jokes are not just quick gags with predictable punchlines, but they will actually get a good laugh out of you. And the NBC sitcom wouldn’t be the show it is without its talented ensemble cast. Not only do they have great on-screen chemistry, but they bring their own quirky flair to the characters and it just works.

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve laughed out loud while watching this show. So, if you’re looking for a comedy that will hit your funny bone every time, let this be your next binge-watch.

Back in March 2022, NBC renewed Grand Crew for a second season. The new season two episodes are currently airing every Friday on NBC (and available to stream on Peacock). And if you want to watch the first season, all ten episodes are also streaming now on Peacock. Take it from me, the minutes will just fly by.
