Caroline Gerard Park
This tiny park probably won’t show up on your GPS, but if you drive down Gerard Drive, you’ll find a quiet spot with a rocky shore perfect for a romantic picnic, a peaceful kayaking spot or simply unwinding. And as for the name: In the 1930s, an East Setauket man allowed the town of East Hampton to build a road through his property—as long as the town named a park after his wife, Caroline. (Aww.)

It has also played host to the U.S. Open a whopping four times (and will do so again in 2018).
