Bright, airy and curated with beautiful, handcrafted works. No, we’re not talking about the Museum of Contemporary Art. We’re talking about our seven favorite Wicker Park boutiques. From minimalist Scandinavian ceramics to brightly printed silk dresses, they’ve got everything to take our breath (and our pocket change) away.

Penelope’s

What’s the secret to this clothing store’s 15-year run on Division Street? Could it be the selection of hard-to-find cult French brands like A.P.C. and Sessun? Or maybe it’s the growing assortment of lifestyle items from the likes of Herbivore Botanicals and Aelfie. Either way, we’re spending all our fun money here.

This artful florist’s shop is the definition of inspired. The stunning arrangements burst with exotic and wild flowers alike, and the shelves of jewelry, apothecary products and objets can only be described as a treasure trove.

P.45

The designer list at this Damen Avenue mainstay reads like a who’s who of fashion’s freshest crop. There’s Carven, Ganni, Apiece Apart and Creatures of Comfort. Though the brands may be on the cutting edge, the owners are always sure to curate a selection of timeless pieces—must be how they’ve stayed in business for 20 years.

Owner Catherine Becker carries a collection of Scandinavian and Japanese jewelry, clothes and home accessories, so expect clean, simple but high-quality goods. Best of all, most items at Moth aren’t carried elsewhere in the U.S. It’s the perfect to place to buy a gift for a friend (or yourself).
