Amazon Prime New Releases: The Best Shows & Movies to Watch in March

If you’re growing tired of all the mystery shows, romantic comedies and haunted flicks that are currently occupying your streaming queue, then you’re in for a real treat. Prime Video is teasing a complete list of new shows and movies that will hit Amazon in March 2023.

The slate is full of classic movies, like Akeelah and the Bee, Big Daddy, Good Will Hunting, Pulp Fiction, Scent of a Woman and Witness for the Protection. There are also loads of new releases that might pique your interest, like Daisy Jones and the Six.

1. Creed & Creed II

Sure, they aren’t new, but you may need to refresh your memory before the premiere of Creed III on March 3. In honor of the third film, every Rocky movie will be available to stream.

2. Daisy Jones and the Six

  • Premiere date: March 3

Fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel are likely counting down the days until the premiere of Daisy Jones and the Six. The plot is about members of a ’70s rock band who revisit their glory days after a decade of silence.

3. Top Gun: Maverick

  • Premiere date: March 24

If you didn’t catch Top Gun: Maverick in theaters, now’s your chance to stream it on your own time. The sequel takes place more than 30 years after the original film and follows Maverick (Tom Cruise) as he trains a new generation of pilots, including Goose’s son (Miles Teller).

4. The Power

  • Premiere date: March 31

Based on the award-winning novel by Naomi Alderman, the limited series explores a global phenomenon where teenage girls develop mysterious powers. Cast members include Toni Collette, Auli'i Cravalho, John Leguizamo and Toheeb Jimoh.
