In the ballet Swan Lake, Isabella Boylston is tasked with completing 32 fouetté turns in a row. Yes, 32.
It’s no wonder the 30-year-old principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre spends close to nine hours a day rehearsing and working out. We caught a sneak peek in the video above and the footwork is jaw-dropping.
Boylston’s world-class athletic abilities and captivating Instagram feed are also just the tip of the iceberg.
This summer, she’s using her talents and clout to bring the ballet to her hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho…for the very first time. On Tuesday, August 22, and Thursday, August 24, some of the world’s most famous dancers will not only perform onstage but also take a break from their rigorous rehearsal schedules to participate in a Day for Dance Education—a program to teach and encourage young dancers in the area.
