Days start early for Christina Stembel, founder of the flower-delivery service Farmgirl Flowers. (Hey, somebody’s got to get up at 5 a.m. and make the bouquets.)

But when the El Granada resident isn’t busy meeting with suppliers and overseeing production from FGF’s HQ at the San Francisco Flower Mart, she’s hitting up her favorite spots--from her go-to pizza parlor to a chic boutique--both in the city and along the coast.

CrowsNest

Where She Shops

Stembel stocks her closet with finds from the Crow’s Nest clothing boutique in downtown Half Moon Bay. She says the shop carries Joie and other posh brands you would find on Union Street in San Francisco.

CowboyFish

Where She Gets Seafood

Cowboy Fishing Co. is where the locals go for fresh, sustainable fish. It’s the kind of place where you can meet the fisherman who just caught your Dungeness crab. Insider’s tip: They’re only open for business Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

HotDogma

Where She Goes For Happy Hour

Just across Highway 1 from the touristy Sam’s Chowder House is the tiny brewhouse Hop Dogma. Stembel says you can bring your own food to this hidden gem. Try the small-batch Polydactyl Pilsner.

Showplace

Where She Gets Her Pick-Me-Up

At Showplace Caffè, the owner can be finicky, Stembel says, but the coffee is great. The owner even roasts his own beans in-house.

715 Brannan St., San Francisco

Ikes

Where She Gets Sandwiches

Stembel is obsessed with Ike’s Place’s Stupid Eggplant Sandwich (breaded eggplant, marinara, provolone), which she often orders via Postmates delivery for lunch at the office.

Repetto

Where She Gets Her Flowers

Repetto Nursery and Florist is one of Stembel’s favorite growers, and she sometimes throws parties on their farm. She says that David Repetto was initially skeptical that her business would work. Now he’s one of her biggest suppliers.

LittleStar

Where She Gets Pizza

Stembel heads to Little Star Pizza at least once a month. She calls their thin-crust “crack pizza” and claims the deep-dish is better than Chicago’s.

MossBeach

Where She Takes Out-of-Towners

Stembel takes visiting friends and family to Moss Beach Distillery, a Half Moon Bay hotspot for drinks. She recommends cozying up on the outdoor patio, which has fire pits and a view of the water.

Where She Works Out (and Works Outside)

Stembel gets her heart rate up by walking the Coastal Trail, from Moss Beach to Half Moon Bay, at least five times a week. There’s a bench on the other side of the Mavericks surf area where she likes to sit and gaze out at the ocean. She even takes her laptop there to work sometimes.

RicePudding

Where She Satisfies Her Sweet Tooth

When Stembel is in the city during the week, she’ll sometimes splurge on Loving Cup’s lemon or coconut rice pudding. The shop used to be two blocks from her apartment in Russian Hill, and she says she had a bit of an addiction.
