Tour the Bay Area with Farmgirl Flowers Founder Christina Stembel
From her favorite lookout point to her favorite sweet treat
Days start early for Christina Stembel, founder of the flower-delivery service Farmgirl Flowers. (Hey, somebody’s got to get up at 5 a.m. and make the bouquets.)
But when the El Granada resident isn’t busy meeting with suppliers and overseeing production from FGF’s HQ at the San Francisco Flower Mart, she’s hitting up her favorite spots--from her go-to pizza parlor to a chic boutique--both in the city and along the coast.
Where She Gets Seafood
Cowboy Fishing Co. is where the locals go for fresh, sustainable fish. It’s the kind of place where you can meet the fisherman who just caught your Dungeness crab. Insider’s tip: They’re only open for business Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Where She Works Out (and Works Outside)
Stembel gets her heart rate up by walking the Coastal Trail, from Moss Beach to Half Moon Bay, at least five times a week. There’s a bench on the other side of the Mavericks surf area where she likes to sit and gaze out at the ocean. She even takes her laptop there to work sometimes.
