Calling All Narcissists: Selfies Are More Dangerous Than Shark Attacks
The statistics may shock you
Are you scared of sharks? Related: How do you feel about taking selfies? Confused? We’ll explain.
As it turns out, your narcissistic photo habit is actually way more dangerous than a Jaws attack, which pretty rarely proves fatal. (There were only eight worldwide in 2014.)
Selfie deaths, on the other hand, are climbing. In fact, 12 people have died this year alone.
Want to know the grisly details? Well, just last week, a tourist trying to snap a selfie at the Taj Mahal fell down a staircase. And earlier this summer, a man was killed trying to photograph himself running with the bulls in Sagra, Spain.
Moral of the story: Use your selfie stick prudently. And maybe be OK asking somebody else to take your picture.
