It costs you an arm and a leg, but you figure that going to the gym guarantees a good workout. The only problem here: You hate the gym.
Lucky for you, so does exercise physiologist Chris Jordan.
Jordan teamed up with a personal trainer to create what he’s dubbed the 7-Minute Workout app (partly inspired by The New York Times' version of the workout). The premise is that you can get the same benefits from the things you have around your house that you can from the equipment at the gym--and all in under seven minutes.
The workout consists of 12 exercises, most of which you can do with just your body. (Think: jumping jacks, squats and side planks.) Although the time frame is short, it’s vital that you push yourself throughout the whole workout to get the maximum benefits.
So go ahead: Cancel that pricey membership and add this app to your list of resolutions.
