Wearing the same solid black tights day after day gets kinda boring--especially by the end of March. (Why, winter, whyyyyyyyy?) But I just don't know if I can pull off patterned tights. How can I don a pair without looking and feeling like a court jester?
Yours in Hue,
Can we call you Kate? We just feel so close to you because this is our very same dilemma year in and year out. Winters are hard enough without having to reinvent the same boots-and-puffer combo (while somehow also remaining a lady?). So yes, patterned tights are an excellent solution. Just look for a subtle weave (meaning less zebra print and more herringbone). Though, there's absolutely nothing wrong with rocking opaque tights day in and day out. Feel free to experiment with your winter look in other ways: like belting a scarf or swiping on a killer red lip. (That way the attention is up top.) Godspeed to us all.
