If you’re anything like us, then your nighttime routine likely includes the Laneige Berry Lip Sleeping Mask. But how does it compare to this $14 dupe?

On a recent episode of What the Dupe, PureWow creator Matthew compared the best-selling product with a cheaper alternative: Carenel Berry Lip Sleeping Mask.

In the episode (watch it above), Matthew discussed the visual similarities between the Laneige Berry Lip Sleeping Mask and Carenel Berry Lip Sleeping Mask.

“From the jump, these are so similar,” he said in the clip. “You can even tell that the font is the same.”

Matthew continued, “They smell the exact same. Like a berry.”

After applying the Laneige lip mask, Matthew was pleased with the results. “I love this mask, it feels really good,” he said. “Definitely really nourishing and hydrating.” But he didn’t feel that it was different from the one by Carenel.

“This is the exact same product,” he admitted. “I feel like I’m having déjà vu from when I was applying the Laneige because it feels exactly the same on the lips. The finish is the same.” Keep scrolling for more details on both products.
