When you’ve got a day packed with meetings, daycare drop-off and a quick treadmill session, the last thing you want distracting you is your hair. Shake things up (or twist them, really) with this adorable updo that will definitely hold throughout the day, no questions asked.
Step 1: Brush your mane with a boar-hair brush to achieve maximum volume. Then use a comb to create a side part, separating your hair into two sections. Slather on a bit of control paste at the part to tame any flyaways and give your hair a nice, clean divide.
Step 2: Take a smaller section of hair close to your part and divide that into two equal parts. Twist the front section over the back. Then add a bit more hair to the new front section before crossing it over to the back again.
Step 3: Repeat this process, adding more hair with each twist (like you would for a French braid) until you reach the back of your neck. Tie off with a hair tie.
Step 4: Take the other side of your hair and secure in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Now, take the two ponytails and twist them around one another, tucking them in toward your head and pinning as you go.
Step 5: Make sure everything is set in place with a few extra bobby pins. Now you’re totally ready to conquer the day—schedule mania and all.
