"I have been deeply prioritizing my self-care because there’s just been so much that we have to process with everything that’s going on in the world," says Condor. "There’s also a lot of pressure right now, as Asian women, to take our hearts and put it out there, to speak out and to protect and advocate for our community," she adds. [Condor is referencing the recent rise in anti-Asian hate crimes since the pandemic.]
"To do that, to be able to continually show up, you really have to take care of yourself because when you’re putting so much energy out, you need to recharge or you won’t have anything left to share. For me that's taking the time for a two-hour nightly self-care routine, which sounds aggressive, but it helps me wake up feeling more ready and confident to start each day," she explains.
"I run a bath, toss in a some CBD salts and a magnesium soak, I light all of my candles, and then I just soak it in and do some positive affirmations. I speak them out because I like to hear myself saying them out loud. I am very protective of my tub time routine," she adds. "We are all worthy of taking time to show love for ourselves."
