A Quick Way to Upgrade Your Sheet Mask Experience

"I would kill for a massage right now."

"Ugh, that sounds so nice. I’d love a facial."

This was topic of last week’s catch up with my two best friends. And I agree: A massage and facial would be hea-ven-ly right about now. Alas, it is not possible (unless you are currently quarantined with a masseuse or facialist...in which case, God bless, but most of us aren’t).

So, we’re going to make lemonade out of lemons together with this simple sheet mask upgrade. You ready? Grab your mask and let’s do this.

Step 1: Wash your face and while your skin is still slightly damp, place your sheet mask of choice on your mug, aligning the eyes and nose cut outs and smoothing the edges into place.

Step 2: Grab that face roller you got a while ago (and haven’t really used much since). Now roll that baby over your sheet mask using a nice, firm pressure, rolling from the center of your face, out. Doing this while masking will help de-puff your face and boost circulation, all while massaging the ingredients from the mask into your skin.

Step 3: Remove your mask after the recommended 15 to 20 minutes (any longer and the mask will start to dry up, which will pull moisture from your skin) and pat in the remaining juices from the mask. Cap it all off with a light layer of moisturizer and marvel at your new glow.

Your Home Spa Kit: Dr. Jart+ Dermask Water Jet Vital Hydra Solution ($6); Snow Fox Arctic Breeze Rescue Mask ($35); Jenny Patinkin Rose on Rose Face Roller ($38); Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask ($45)
