It sounds like a contradiction, but dry hair can still get greasy. (Womp, womp.) Believe it or not, it actually gets oilier than well-hydrated hair, thanks to the fact that your scalp overcompensates for the lack of moisture by producing excess sebum. Washing your locks every day can make matters worse, but what are you supposed to do aside from claiming the ponytail as "your thing?"

Enter: Amika Phantom Hydrating Dry Shampoo Foam, a grease-zapping mousse formula that adds volume and moisture back into your limp, brittle locks. Made with a blend of rice, tapioca and corn starch, it absorbs dirt, oil and product buildup at the scalp, literally cleansing your hair without the need for an actual shower. Because of this, it's great for *all* hair types, even wavy, curly and coily strands that wouldn't normally agree with dry shampoo.

If you're concerned about white residue, don't be. This "dry" shampoo actually has a slightly wet feel, so there is zero detection that you used anything at all. There are, however, some differences to traditional powder formulas. For starters, this one will leave your hair looking slightly wet (and greasier) immediately after use, so make sure you give yourself enough time in the morning to work it in and let it dry. Pro tip: Blast roots with a blow dryer and round brush to speed up the process and add even more volume. Or better yet, work it in before bed to wake up to refreshed, hydrated strands by morning.
