Sure, you don’t think twice about spending countless morning minutes shampooing, conditioning and blowing out your hair. But what if you found out that your hairbrush was actually canceling out all that effort?
Here’s an easy (and sudsy) solution to make sure it never happens again.
What you need: Your hairbrush, a fresh toothbrush and a bottle of shampoo
What you do: First, remove any hair trapped in the brush. Next, fill your sink with warm water and dip the bristles in. (Avoid dunking the whole hairbrush if you can to prevent mildew.) Put a few drops of shampoo on the toothbrush and start scrubbing the bristles and the hairbrush base. Finally, rinse and let it dry overnight.
Why it works: Just think of all the grease, dirt, oil and hair spray that build up on your hairbrush over time. You shampoo your hair, don’t you? Do the same for your brush.
So, about that blowout… It totally has extra bounce, right?
