Hair extensions are the new blowouts
Nearly every celebrity does it. No one talks about it. Therefore, you can rarely find a place to even do it.
We’re talking hair extensions, people.
But a new salon in Flatiron is making it as easy to get them as a blowout. Welcome RPZL.
Here’s the deal: Color and texture matching comes first (from a pretty extensive range of Italian-made pieces). RPZL actually created an in-house line of extensions to ensure it had plenty of natural-looking options.
If you want clip-ins to wear occasionally (like for a big event, um, tonight), a set costs $250 up front and they’re yours to keep. Next, you get a blowout and the stylist will work them into your ’do (which lasts until your next wash). After that, you can bring in your pieces at any time and request the same $40 blowout, using your extra hair.
For long-term extensions (say, to grow out that misguided lob), there are two options: a non-damaging tape ($350 to last two months) or a keratin bond ($550 to last three months). These are smaller sections of hair bonded to your own strands.
Our lady crush, Tina Fey, openly admits to having a “bag of hair.” And now, so can you.
