A NEW ISLAND SURFACED IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC

Check out the first photographs of a newly formed volcanic island off the coast of Tonga. The Polynesian island began forming in January after a volcanic eruption, making it the newest place on planet Earth. The man who captured the shots said the surface was hot but surrounded by emerald water. Spring break 2080 anyone?

HBO ANNOUNCED ITS OWN STREAMING SERVICE

Attention Game of Thrones and True Detective fans: HBO stole a bit of the spotlight at Apple’s much-anticipated event last week to announce the launch of its own stand-alone service, HBO Now. You can start subscribing in April ($14.99 per month) but a heads-up that for the first three months, the service will be only available on Apple TV.

IRON MAN GAVE A CHILD A BIONIC ARM

Robert Downey, Jr. teamed up with a Fulbright Scholar, Limbitless Solutions and Microsoft’s The Collective Project to present a 3-D-printed bionic arm to a seven-year-old with a partially developed limb. Watch the interaction here to get all the feels.
